08Sanctuary of the Virxe da Barca

At the edge of the Atlantic, among the rocks where the sea breaks, stands one of the most venerated Marian sanctuaries in Galicia. Tradition places here the Virgin’s appearance to Saint James in a stone boat; the famous ‘holy stones’ on the shore draw popular devotion.
