19Monastery of Santa María de Ferreira de Pantón

Known as the Monastery of the Bernardas, it is the only female Cistercian monastery in Galicia that maintains monastic life today. Of early-medieval origin, it was restored as a female house and incorporated into the Cistercian order in 1175. Its Romanesque church preserves a semicircular apse and Gothic tombs of the Lemos family.
