Tower and lighthouse on a headland of the A Coruña peninsula. It is the only lighthouse of Roman origin still in operation in the world; it dates from the late 1st or early 2nd century and is 55 metres tall. UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site on 27 June 2009.
