Entroido is Galicia's traditional carnival, a festival that comes before Lent and is celebrated with particular intensity in Ourense. The peliqueiros of Laza, the cigarróns of Verín, the pantallas of Xinzo de Limia and the felos of Maceda are some of its most recognisable figures.
