Benedictine monastery founded in the 10th century in the old town of Santiago de Compostela, opposite the Acibechería façade of the cathedral. In the 16th century, with the reform promoted by the Catholic Monarchs, it governed all the men's Benedictine monasteries of Galicia. It covers 22,000 m² and is today the seat of the Major Seminary.
