The Fundación Luis Seoane preserves and activates a legacy extending far beyond painting: design, publishing, exile, thought and Atlantic cultural networks.

The Fundación Luis Seoane was created to preserve, study and disseminate the artist’s work and thought. The breadth of the legacy requires a transversal reading: painting, printmaking, graphic design, publishing, theatre, poetry, correspondence and political activity all belong to one intellectual archive.

The A Coruña headquarters functions as a centre for exhibitions, research and contemporary programming. This allows the institution to be more than a memorial: Seoane’s legacy becomes a starting point for thinking about design, modernity, exile and visual culture.

Seoane himself connects the Foundation with Buenos Aires, exile culture and the network of the Laboratorio de Formas. This Atlantic dimension distinguishes its narrative from that of other monographic institutions.
