Fortress on the Ferrol estuary built in the 16th century. Together with the castles of A Palma and San Martiño it formed the defensive shield of the estuary, and a thick chain was stretched across the sea between San Filipe and San Martiño to prevent enemy ships from entering. It is a Bien de Interés Cultural.
